Pure Butyrate is a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA) produced by large intestine bacteria as a result of fermenting the resistant starches of dietary fibre. Pure Butyrate nourishes the gut lining, improving its integrity and promoting the activity of beneficial gut bacteria. It has also been shown to inhibit pro-inflammatory immune cells while activating anti-inflammatory cells.
