Butyrate and lactoferrin provide gut, mucosal and nutritional support, while omega-3, vitamin D and vitamin C help provide important nutritional foundations. Niclosamide, mebendazole and ivermectin have been investigated in laboratory and animal models of leukemia. Niclosamide has shown activity in preclinical models of AML, ALL and CML; mebendazole has demonstrated effects involving microtubules, MYB, cellular differentiation and leukemia-cell death; and ivermectin has shown selective activity against AML cells and primary patient samples. These findings are promising but remain experimental and do not establish these medicines as proven leukemia treatments.
